The Colorado men’s basketball season is already off to a rough start.
Shannon Sharpe, a talented freshman who Jeff Bzdelik planned on splitting time at point guard with sophomore Nate Tomlinson, will miss the entire 2009-10 season with a knee injury.
Sharpe will have microfracture surgery on his left knee, which was injured during a recent workout, on Thursday.
The Buffs are hoping to produce a winning season after suffering through three consecutive last-place finishes in the Big 12.
