What the Farokhmanesh?

I’m mad at myself for not being bolder with my brackets this March.

After seeing Kansas play the Buffs in person twice and then cruise through the Big 12 tournament, I had the Jayhawks beating Kentucky in the national title game just like everybody else.

Northern Iowa’s stunning upset of KU was bad for the Big 12, however, it does gives Colorado’s 2010-11 schedule a nice little boost.

CU will face Northern Iowa in the Las Vegas Invitational. And the Buffs might be a good bet to win that game.

Ali Farokhmanesh, whose gutsy 3-pointer sunk the Titanic favorites, is a senior. So is 7-foot center Jordan Eglseder.

The Panthers might not be as magical in November.

But since my bracket is broken I’d like to see Farokhmanesh and the fellas make it all the way to the Final Four.
