Tad Boyle has filled two of the four scholarships available during the spring recruiting period.
Carlos Brown, a Utah transfer, and Andre Roberson, a promising 6-8 freshman, are expected to sign letters of intent to play at Colorado.
Brown will have only one year of eligibility remaining. But the 6-5 guard will help fill the void in 2011 when Cory Higgins graduates and Alec Burks possibly leaves early for the NBA draft.
Interest in Roberson was growing by the day as the Wagner, Texas, product considered offers from the Big Ten (Penn State) to the Mountain West (UNLV) to the Pac-10 (UCLA).
Brown also flirted with the NBA draft and visited Kent State before deciding to finish his collegiate career in Boulder.
Boyle’s decision to retain Tom Abatemarco, the relentless recruiter Jeff Bzdelik hired in March, has proven to be a wise one.
The Buffs, however, could really use a 6-11 center capable of blocking shots and controlling the glass. Boyle still has a couple weeks left to sign an impact big man.
There will be more on these recruits in tomorrow’s Camera.

What a DRAG! Vince, get better soon and keep your head up high. You'll heal soon enough and you'll be starting soon enough also.
Hang in there Buddy.
I posted a comment about Vince, what happened to it?
