Alec Burks was named the Big 12 Player of the Week on Monday after scoring a career-high 36 points to lead Colorado to a 89-76 victory over No. 9 Missouri on Saturday in the conference opener.
The reigning Big 12 Freshman of the Year is having a great sophomore season for the Buffs. Burks is averaging 20.1 points per game, second among conference scorers behind Baylor’s LaceDarius Dunn (23.1).
CU is second in the Big 12 in scoring offense (85.1 ppg) behind Missouri (85.8 ppg).
