Colorado’s game against No. 2 Kansas next Tuesday night at the Coors Events Center is sold out. Here is the athletic department press release with information about parking:
The Colorado vs. Kansas men’s basketball game on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 is officially a sellout. Along with the Oklahoma State win last week, this is the first time in Coors Events Center history the men’s basketball team has sold out back-to-back games.
With the unusual tip off time of 6 p.m., as well as the construction in relation to the new practice facility, fans are encouraged to get to the game as early as possible. Additionally, the University has a full slate of classes on Tuesday and the earlier tip time just decreases the normal amount of time for those students who commute to empty out of the parking lots also used for games around the Events Center.
CU has teamed with the Go Boulder and is also encouraging people to park at the 29th Street Mall and catch The Hop bus route from the mall to the corner of Colorado Avenue and Folsom Street and walk to the game from there. Fans should catch the orange route and there will be no charge for fans who present their game ticket to the bus driver. The normal Hop route runs every 10-15 minutes between the 29th Street Mall, CU, The Hill and Downtown Boulder. After the game, across the street from where the bus dropped fans off, they can catch the purple line of The Hop back to the mall.
