My preason Pac-12 vote

Head coach Tad Boyle and senior forward Austin Dufault will represent Colorado at Friday’s Pac-12 basketball media day event in Los Angeles. The preseason media poll will be unveiled as part of the hype.

The Arizona Wildcats, fresh off an Elite Eight run and welcoming the best recruiting class in the West, will likely be the preseason favorite. UCLA, Cal and Washington should also contend for the title.

My guess is newbies CU and Utah will be picked 11th and 12th. Or 12th and 11th.

I think the Buffs’ home-court advantage and Boyle’s coaching will be more of a factor than people unfamiliar with the program realize. For what it’s worth, here’s my preseason vote:

1. Arizona
2. UCLA
3. Cal
4. Washington
5. Oregon
6. Stanford
7. Colorado
8. Arizona State
9. Oregon State
10. Washington State
11. USC
12. Utah
