SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — After spending Friday morning at the beach, sans sunscreen, my face is a little red.
But not quite the hue that Tad Boyle’s face was after Colorado’s 78-71 meltdown against Maryland at the Puerto Rico Tip-off.
Needless to say, the Buffs aren’t enjoying themselves here as most tourists do.
Before covering CU’s latest costly November loss, this scribe was able to capture video of a manatee surfacing in Laguna del Condado.
Then I got lost en route to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico for the second straight night. If you visit San Juan, either avoid driving or make sure you reserve a Garmin for the rental car.
The Buffs are planning a day of rest after an 0-2 start to the tournament, even though they should be in the gym working on free throws.
I’m going to do some sight-seeing, write an advance for Sunday’s epic CU-Western Michigan showdown, and try to find a local watering hole that will have CU-UCLA football game on the tube.
Actually a pretty nice little Saturday.
